Rank-Level Fusion of Multimodal Biometric Cryptosystems

چکیده
In this paper we present an effective scheme that preserves the biometric templates more secured. We present a new algorithm called Enhanced Blind Encryption Algorithm for securing biometric templates between client and server and using that for authentication. There are four phases involved in this process namely, enrollment, identification, matching and fusion. During enrollment, biometric traits (fingerprint and iris) will be uploaded and encrypted using Enhanced Blind Encryption Algorithm). During fusion, Borda count and Logistic regression methods are applied combinely in identifying the accurate results. Results indicate that the proposed system can be effectively used even for low-quality images. Keywords— multimodal, cryptosystem, rank-level fusion, fingerprint, iris, Borda count, EBEA

Why rank-level fusion? And what is the impact of image quality?
The goal of a biometric identification system is to determine the identity of the input probe. In order to accomplish this, a classical biometric system uses a matcher to compare the input probe data against each labeled biometric data present in the gallery database. The output is a set of similarity scores that are sorted in decreasing order and ranked. The identity of the gallery entry corre...

Authentication of users is an essential and difficult to achieve in all systems. Shared secrets like Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) or Passwords and key devices such as Smart cards are not presently sufficient in few situations. The biometric improves the capability to recognize the persons. A biometric identification system is an automatic recognition system that recognizes a person bas...

Multimodal biometric authentication resolves no. of issues present in unimodal biometrics. There are number of ways for the fusion of different modalities in multimodal biometrics. Fusion could be either before matching the scores or after matching the score. The presented research paper deals with the comparative study of different techniques which performs fusion of information after matching...
متن کاملTechnical Report: Multibiometric Cryptosystems
Multibiometric systems are being increasingly deployed in many large scale biometric applications (e.g., FBIIAFIS, UIDAI system in India) because they have several advantages such as lower error rates and larger population coverage compared to unibiometric systems. However, multibiometric systems require storage of multiple biometric templates (e.g., fingerprint, iris, and face) for each user, ...
